Hank Green and Leslie Morgan launch ClockwiseTV

YouTuber, science communicator and entrepreneur Hank Green and media executive Leslie Morgan have launched ClockwiseTV, a new streaming platform offering educational video content for children aged eight and above.

The focus

The platform focuses on content covering science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM), with videos and educators vetted before being made available. Its line-up includes content from creators such as Odd Animal Specimens, Evan and Katelyn, Complexly, MinutePhysics, and Hank Green.

Engaging online video content

ClockwiseTV is designed to give children aged eight to 12 access to engaging online video content in a more controlled environment. Parents or guardians can set a specific session length, after which the app automatically closes. The platform does not feature a feed or autoplay, and recommends ad‑free videos within the selected session time.

Morgan, who serves as CEO of ClockwiseTV, said the platform was created to address a gap for children who have outgrown traditional kids’ apps but are not yet ready for the unpredictability of mainstream online video platforms.

Green similarly highlighted the platform’s approach to screen time, noting that children can watch videos while the defined time limit helps avoid conflicts around when to stop.

A beta version of ClockwiseTV is currently available for iPads and Android tablets. The platform is scheduled to launch officially in November.
