Hasbro: Comeback for Furby

Soon kids and Furby fans will be able to discover the latest Furby generation.

The new Furby is interactive and has more than 600 responses in the form of phrases, songs, light signals and more. In Furby terms, that means "Dah-No-Lah" (party time)!

Hasbro presents the new era of interactive Furby toys just in time for summer. Now the next generation of kids can discover their own curious little creature.

Furby has repeatedly revolutionized pop culture and the toy world, reminding kids to be themselves - fun and perfectly imperfect.

Furby is available in two colors, purple and orange, and will be in stores August 1.

Launched in the late 1990s, at a time of great digital transformation, Furby instantly became one of the biggest and most iconic product launches in the toy world.

In its first three years, more than 40 million units were sold worldwide.

With realistic wiggling ears, expressive eyes and its own language called Furbish, Furby was more than just a toy: a personality meant to give the impression of being alive.

Furby sparked a collector craze that drove up auction prices, and was even banned from the National Security Agency (NSA) compound in Maryland.

Furby was cool, cute and endearingly quirky - a combination that kids and the world needed.

Over the years, Furby has remained a unique symbol of self-expression for fans around the world.

And that's thanks to the immense and growing fan base that has transformed Furby from a toy into an imaginative brand that represents a lifestyle all its own.
