Hasbro Entertainment has appointed Rob Doherty as Vice President of Production, reinforcing its leadership as the company expands its animation and digital content efforts.
In this role, Doherty will oversee production across Hasbro’s growing portfolio, supporting the development and delivery of content based on its brands and IP. He expressed enthusiasm about joining the company during a period of growth.
30 years of experience in children’s television
With over 30 years of experience in children’s television, Doherty has held senior roles at companies such as Aardman Animations, The Walt Disney Company, ITV, Endemol, and Cake Entertainment. Most recently, he led the consultancy Relevant Content, advising on platforms like Roblox and the wider social gaming space, and worked on projects including Angry Birds: Summer Madness, Supa Team 4, and Space Chickens in Space.
Creative and production expertise
Tom Hartley, VP of Animation & Digital Content, highlighted Doherty’s strong mix of creative and production expertise, noting his value to Hasbro’s expanding content strategy.
Doherty is also the founder of Festivus, a global animation networking community with over 13,000 members. His appointment reflects Hasbro’s continued focus on growing its presence across film, TV, and digital platforms.
