IKEA and Xbox launch limited YXSTABY gaming collection

IKEA and Xbox have unveiled the limited-edition YXSTABY collection, combining Scandinavian design with gaming-focused functionality. The collection is being presented for the first time at gamescom 2026 in Cologne.

The range comprises nine products developed jointly by designers from IKEA and Xbox. The collaboration brought together Xbox’s 25 years of gaming experience and IKEA’s more than 80 years of expertise in home living. The development process also included visits to homes where gaming is part of everyday life.

Designed to support gaming

The collection is designed to support gaming while fitting naturally into shared living spaces. Products include a mobile TV stand, a toolbox for controllers, cables, and gaming hardware, a laptop stand, a wheeled side table, and a monitor stand.

Xbox’s controller served as a key source of inspiration for several designs. Elements of the controller have been reinterpreted across the range, including a D‑pad‑inspired cushion and a serving tray, a mirrored display box for collectibles, and a stool based on the controller’s thumbstick.

The collection combines clean lines and softer shapes with neutral tones of white, black and beige, complemented by green accents and practical details for storing gaming accessories.
