Invisible Universe hires Jonathan Schneider as studio president for internet-first animation company

Schneider, who has held executive positions at Disney and Skydance, among others, brings two decades of experience to Invisible Universe.

He worked in the ranks of Hollywood agencies before transitioning to television and serving as creative director of Nickeloden.

Based in L.A., he will lead Invisible Universe's adoption of new technologies, including those related to artificial intelligence, motion capture and real-time rendering, and is charged with building new businesses for the media company.

Investors in Invisible Universe, which was founded in 2018, include Alexis Ohanian's Seven Seven Six, Serena Williams, Jennifer Aniston and Will Smith's Dreamers VC. The company's strategy is to create and develop franchises for animated characters on social media before transferring the intellectual property into film and television, gaming, merchandising, publishing and other areas.
