Ira Friedman leaves Topps
Ira Friedman has resigned as vice president of global licensing at Topps to start a new company.
Effective August 1, Ira Friedman Enterprises will specialize in IP content creation, product development, licensing and collaborations.
Friedman began his career in publishing, where he was responsible for the distribution of magazines such as Starlog and Fangoria, which were aimed at fans.
He then worked at Lucasfilm, running the "Star Wars" fan club. In the late 1980s, Friedman proposed a publishing idea to Topps that led to him holding a leadership position for more than 30 years.
In 2022, Fanatics acquired the Topps company.
