Kartoon Studios announces Stan Lee exhibition
The 8-month exclusive exhibition "Excelsior! The Life and Legacy of Stan Lee" is a tribute to Stan Lee, on the occasion of his 100th birthday.
Opening July 18 in advance of San Diego Comic-Con at the Comic-Con Museum, the exhibition features never-before-seen works from the life and
legacy of Stan Lee and co-creators Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko and more.The exhibition is curated by creator and executive producer of the Batman film series,
Michael Uslan and by David Uslan, both of whom serve as advisors to Kartoon Studios' "Stan Lee Universe" and the Comic-Con Museum.
The exhibition includes a series of paintings of Stan Lee by noted ambidextrous painter Rob Prior.
The first part of the exhibition is dedicated to Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko, both Stan Lee's co-creators of the Marvel Universe.
Through original artwork and comics, the entire career of Stan Lee at Marvel Comics is presented, including rare and pioneering issues.
Overall, the exhibition showcases Stan Lee's career, his last never-before-published works, and those of his fellow artists. Tickets can be purchased in advance at comic-conmuseum.org or at the door.
