Kiddisvit Ltd. and The Toy Foundation: carefree summer for children in Ukraine

September 1 marks the beginning of the school year in Ukraine. On this "Day of Knowledge", which is solemnly celebrated in all schools of the country,

children usually report on their summer vacations. Knowledge Day is thus one of the most important holidays of the school year.

According to the data of the Ukrainian Statistical Service, 408,208 children are entering the 1st grade in Ukraine.

Most of the school beginners are in the Dnipropetrovsk and Odessa regions, as well as in the capital, Kiev.

This year, Knowledge Day fell on the 555th day of the war. Instead of recounting their summer experiences, Ukrainian children can provide information on

exactly what to do when sirens sound and where the nearest safe shelter is.

These children need protection and support. Says Pavel Ovchynnikov, who founded Kiddisvit Ltd. as a student at the age of 20:

"We need to help the children socialize with each other and get through this difficult period of their lives.

We especially need to think about the children who are in the frontline regions, who have lost their homes or, worst of all, their loved ones in this terrible war.

That is why this summer Kiddisvit Ltd, together with The Toy Foundation, organized a summer vacation at a children's camp for 187 children of soldiers killed in the war.

We wanted to cheer up and distract the children, give them a chance to relax, make new friends and have a carefree time. I thank our partners for this wonderful initiative!"
