KOSMOS unveils Batman Game and EXIT anniversary show at SPIEL 2026

German publisher KOSMOS is bringing new titles based on popular entertainment franchises to SPIEL 2026 in Essen, including Batman – Gotham City Crimes and Fourth Wing – Das Spiel: Die Wahl der Drachen. The company will also celebrate the tenth anniversary of EXIT – The Game with a special edition and a live stage show.

Developed with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products, Batman – Gotham City Crimes is a cooperative adventure game designed by Michael Menzel. Players work together to solve crimes, make decisions and shape the story.

Fourth Wing – Das Spiel: Die Wahl der Drachen brings Rebecca Yarros’ bestselling Empyrean fantasy series to the tabletop. The franchise has sold around 30 million copies worldwide. With these titles, KOSMOS aims to reach new audiences, including fans of fantasy, romance and New Adult fiction.

Ten years of EXIT

Since its launch in 2016, EXIT – The Game has sold more than 30 million copies across over 35 countries and 24 languages. The series now features more than 50 scenarios. Its anniversary edition, EXIT – The Game: Der perfekte Einbruch, will be accompanied by a live show featuring game designers Inka and Markus Brand on October 22 at 8 p.m. at Weststadthalle Essen. The audience will solve puzzles alongside the designers and gain insights into the series.

KOSMOS will also present new additions to its portfolio, including Cascadia – Bergseen, Die Crew – Jagd um die Welt, The Gang – All-in, Tag Team – Artus' Vermächtnis, an expansion for Cities and Flip 7 – Voll fies.

The publisher reports sales growth in Germany and ranks among the country’s three largest games publishers by revenue. Its award-winning title Die Insel der Mookies was named Children’s Game of the Year 2026 and is nominated for Best Children’s Game at the German Games Prize 2026.

Visitors can explore the new releases at the KOSMOS stand in Hall 7, booth 7E311, during SPIEL 2026 in Essen.
