KV Toys India acquires 50% stake in STEM toy maker Play Panda
KV Toys India has acquired a 50% stake in educational and STEM toy manufacturer Play Panda as part of its strategy to expand into the fast-growing learning toys segment. The transaction is valued at up to ₹4.5 crore and is subject to the execution of definitive agreements and customary closing conditions.
STEM-focused products
Founded as an educational toy brand, Play Panda develops STEM-focused products designed to promote creativity, problem-solving and critical thinking among children. Its product portfolio is available through retail channels including Hamleys and Amazon.
The acquisition combines Play Panda’s product development capabilities with KV Toys India’s manufacturing capacity and nationwide distribution network. According to KV Toys India, the move aligns with its long-term strategy to expand into high-growth categories within the toy industry as demand for educational and STEM toys continues to increase.
Strengthen the portfolio of learning-focused products
KV Toys India said the partnership will strengthen its portfolio of learning-focused products while enabling Play Panda to scale its educational toy range through broader manufacturing and distribution capabilities. Play Panda founder Tushar Saigal said the collaboration would allow the company to bring its educational, DIY and STEM-focused toys to more children across India while supporting its mission of promoting learning through play.
