LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Announced—Epic New Game Spans 86 Years of Batman History
Warner Bros. Games, TT Games, DC, and the LEGO Group have unveiled "LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight," an all-new action-adventure videogame set for release in 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. Developed by TT Games, the title promises to deliver the definitive LEGO Batman experience, drawing inspiration from 86 years of Batman’s legacy across film, television, comics, and games—all infused with TT Games’ signature LEGO humor.
Players will embark on Bruce Wayne’s journey from his origins with the League of Shadows to becoming Gotham’s legendary hero. The campaign features a dynamic new combat system, open-world Gotham City exploration, and a roster of iconic allies including Jim Gordon, Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, Catwoman, and Talia al Ghul. Facing off against classic villains like The Joker, Penguin, Poison Ivy, and Ra’s al Ghul, players can utilize unique Bat-gadgets and partner abilities, with both solo and two-player local co-op modes available.
The game introduces enhanced difficulty settings, customizable Batcave displays, and unlockable Batsuits, including a Golden Age Batsuit for WB Games account holders. "Legacy of the Dark Knight" aims to appeal to both long-time fans and newcomers, celebrating every facet of Batman’s mythos in a family-friendly LEGO format.
