Lego celebrates 25th anniversary of The Lord of the Rings
In collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery, the The LEGO Group has unveiled the LEGO Icons The Lord of the Rings: Minas Tirith, a new collectible building set for adult fans celebrating the 25th anniversary of The Lord of the Rings.
The 8,278-piece set recreates the city of Minas Tirith, featuring Gondor’s iconic architecture, layered walls, and citadel. Designed as a display model, it combines a micro-scale cityscape with detailed minifigure-scale interiors, including the citadel’s throne room.
The set includes 10 minifigures and the horse Shadowfax, featuring characters such as Gandalf the White, Faramir, Denethor, Peregrin Took, Aragorn, Arwen, and four Gondor soldiers, along with themed accessories.
Pre-order from June 1
The set will be available for LEGO Insiders pre-order from June 1, 2026, with general release beginning June 4, 2026, at a price of €649.99. Customers who purchase the set between June 1 and June 7, 2026, will receive the LEGO Icons The Lord of the Rings: Grond as a free gift while supplies last.
To celebrate the launch, the LEGO Group will host a livestream on May 12 featuring a Q&A with the design team. LEGO Insiders members can also enter a contest to win an all-inclusive trip to Hobbiton Movie Set and the complete LEGO Icons The Lord of the Rings collection. Entries are open from May 12 through June 30, 2026.
