LEGO Group launches first Star Wars and Marvel LEGO Ideas challenge
The LEGO Group has launched a new LEGO Ideas challenge inviting fans to bring together the Star Wars and Marvel universes in LEGO form for the first time.
Three themes
Participants can choose from three themes: vehicles, characters or scenes. Entries can be submitted through the LEGO Ideas platform, where fans will also vote on the designs. Selected fan creations will have the opportunity to become official LEGO products.
Fede Begher, Senior Vice President and Head of Product Group at the LEGO Group, described the challenge as a milestone for LEGO Ideas and its fan community, opening up new possibilities for creativity and storytelling.
Celebrating the 50th anniversary
The initiative also celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Star Wars franchise in 2027. It follows the announcement of Star Wars/Marvel: Hope Assembles, a comic series unveiled this summer that will launch in January and mark the first-ever crossover between the Star Wars and Marvel Comics universes.
The LEGO Ideas challenge is now open. Fans can visit ideas.lego.com to review the rules and guidelines and submit their builds. Voting begins on December 15, 2026, with the Grand Prize Selections to be announced next year.
