Licensing International announces 6 new board members

6 new executives will join the board at Licensing International. Paul Cannon, Carolyn D'Angelo, Pamela Deese, Raj Malik, Marie-Laure Marchand and George Wade will take up their positions on July 1. Elected by the members of Licensing International for three-year terms. 

Chairman will remain Steve Scebelo, president of NFL Players Inc. and Veronica Hart, EVP of Global Franchise Planning at Paramount Consumer Products & Experiences, will also continue in her role as vice chair, while Marc Schneider, chief financial and chief operating officer at Beanstalk, will continue as treasurer.

 

Here's an overview of the new board members: 

 

Paul Cannon, CEO of Caprice Australia has been deeply involved in the licensing industry for over 34 years. Currently at Caprice Australia, he is responsible for more than 100 employees, the day-to-day operations and overall success of Australia's leading licensed consumer goods company in apparel, footwear, bags and housewares.

 

Carolyn D'Angelo, President, Laura Ashley Global & Senior Managing Director, Brand Operations, Gordon Brothers has been a brand leader for more than 30 years, specializing in strategic marketing, licensing and brand building for top brands in the fashion and home lifestyle industries.

 

Pamela Deese, a partner at Arentfox Schiff focuses on intellectual property representation and includes advising brand owners and patent pools on developing and maintaining strategic licensing programs and maintaining IP portfolios. 

 

Raj Malik, founder and CEO of Bioworld Merchandising Inc. ,the world's leading manufacturer of licensed apparel, accessories and home goods. 

 

Marie-Laure Marchand - SVP, Business Development & Global Consumer Products at Chefclub - Marie-Laure Marchand has over 30 years of licensing experience in the children's and entertainment industries and is Senior Vice President, BuBusiness Development & Global Consumer Products at Chefclub, a global foodthemed studio and entertainment brand.

 

George Wade, president of Bay Laurel Advisors, has become a leading innovator in project development and licensing of major entertainment brands for high-end, location-based entertainment (LBE) projects, including theme parks, themed attractions and interactive entertainment venues, with more than 40 years of experience in the entertainment and leisure industry.
