Lingokids appoints Mathias Royer to Lead Lingokids Studios
Lingokids has appointed former Tilting Point executive Mathias Royer as vice president of Lingokids Studios, the company’s in-house games and content division.
Royer brings more than 15 years of experience in the mobile games industry to the role. At Tilting Point, he served as Chief Studios Officer and was a founding member of the company’s Barcelona studio, where he oversaw major expansion initiatives, including the acquisition of Budge Studios. He has also built international game studios and managed free-to-play portfolios generating nine-figure revenues.
Leading the studio’s content strategy
At Lingokids, Royer will lead the studio’s content strategy and oversee its growing portfolio of games and interactive experiences. His appointment comes as the company expands its platform and continues developing partnerships around children’s entertainment brands.
Over the past 18 months, Lingokids has developed games featuring brands and characters, including Disney, Marvel, Pixar, Blippi, and Pocoyo. The company also recently introduced Billy’s Lab, where children can explore AI‑enabled game prototypes.
Reaching more than 20 million children
Lingokids currently reaches more than 20 million children each month. According to the company’s 2026 Kids Interactive Entertainment Report, games have become the third most common way children discover new characters, behind television shows and movies.
Royer said the opportunity to create experiences that reach millions of families while supporting children’s development was a key reason for joining Lingokids.
The company also recently introduced Billy’s Lab, where children can explore AI-enabled game prototypes. Royer will oversee the continued development of Lingokids’ interactive entertainment offering.
