MAGLITE joins forces with the Pedestrian Safety Institute

MAG Instrument, maker of MAGLITE flashlights, has partnered with the Pedestrian Safety Institute (PSI) to launch the Safer Road Initiative, a program aimed at reducing child pedestrian fatalities through free road safety education. The initiative introduces Safe Road Adventures, a five-week curriculum for K–5 students that teaches essential roadside safety skills through lessons, workbooks, songs, and interactive activities.

Designed for schools, parents and homeschoolers

The curriculum is designed for schools, parents, and homeschoolers, and concludes with a school‑wide safety assembly. The program focuses on teaching children how to cross roads safely, remain visible to drivers, and develop safe pedestrian habits. The curriculum is available free of charge through TheSaferRoad.com and will officially launch at the 22nd Annual School Safety Conference in Orlando, Florida.

MAG Instrument said the initiative reflects the company’s long-standing commitment to traffic safety, while PSI highlighted the need for greater pedestrian education following thousands of annual pedestrian deaths in the United States, including hundreds of children.
