Mattel celebrates Pride Month with a Monster High collection

Mattel is supporting LGBTQ+ media organization GLAAD with a special Monster High Capsule Collection. From May 31 to June 30, Mattel will donate one dollar for every Monster High Pride Capsule Collection item sold to the world's largest organization dedicated to a world where everyone is free to express themselves.

To collaborate on the collection, Mattel enlisted two LGBTQ+ artists, Lou Choquette and Cheyne Gallarde.

“I really was obsessed with the idea of the characters dancing, because that to me is what Pride is,” Cheyne Gallarde says. “Friends are with friends. Different Monsters are celebrating their uniqueness, mixing and mingling together.”The result is a colorful and vibrant collection. 

The collaboration resulted in a colourful and fun collection. 

“I just wanted to incorporate a very chill approach to Pride that feels approachable.“  The core idea is about friendship, relationships, healing each other, supporting each other, and being stronger together.”, says Lou Choquette.

The collection includes fanny packs, mugs, posters, T-shirts, hoodies and tote bags. It will be sold exclusively on Mattel Creations, Mattel's e-commerce and content platform.
