Mattel, Tokyopop Partner for Hot Wheels and Barbie Manga-Style Novels
Mattel and manga and anime media brand, Tokyopop, have announced a partnership to create original manga-style graphic novels for children ages 8-12 based on the Hot Wheels and Barbie brands. The first titles are set to debut in print in 2026.
The collaboration will bring original stories and artwork to both franchises, aiming to introduce the brands to new audiences in innovative formats and engage younger readers. The brand's rich history will inspire the Hot Wheels series, while the Barbie stories will introduce new characters and adventures.
