McDonald’s launched global FIFA World Cup 2026 promotion

McDonald’s has unveiled a global promotional campaign for the FIFA World Cup 2026, introducing limited-time meals, collectible merchandise, and fan experiences across participating markets worldwide.

FIFA World Cup 26 Meal and FIFA World Cup 26 Happy Meal

The campaign features the new FIFA World Cup 26 Meal and FIFA World Cup 26 Happy Meal. In the United States, the meal includes a choice of a Big Mac or 10-piece Chicken McNuggets alongside limited-edition gold-packaged Big Mac Sauce. Customers also receive one of nine collectible cups featuring football stars Christian Pulisic, David Beckham, Ronaldinho Gaúcho, Thierry Henry, Son Heung-Min, Lamine Yamal, Alphonso Davies, Santiago Gimenez, and the McDonald’s character Grimace.

Happy Meal includes one of 23 Squishmallows plush toys

The FIFA World Cup 26 Happy Meal includes one of 23 Squishmallows plush toys, including characters representing the tournament’s three host countries: Canada, Mexico, and the United States. Each Happy Meal also comes with special packaging and access to a digital game through a scannable code.

Series of in-person and digital activations

In addition to the food and collectibles, McDonald’s plans a series of in-person and digital activations tied to the tournament. These include exclusive offers and rewards through the McDonald’s app, community events, and interactive fan experiences. As part of its McDonald’s FC (Fan Crew) initiative, selected restaurant crew members from around the world will receive opportunities to attend matches and participate in special FIFA World Cup-related activities.

McDonald’s said the campaign is designed to celebrate football fandom and bring fans together through food, experiences, and collectibles throughout the tournament period.
