Mentos launches first soft drink in Europe

Mentos, part of Perfetti Van Melle, is stepping into a product category that is new to the company.

For the first time in Europe, there will be a non-carbonated beverage offering with Jelly Bites.

A total of three different flavors are planned, based on familiar Mentos flavors. The beverage flavors include lemon and mint, apple soda kick and fruity mix.

The drinks are manufactured by Namyang of South Korea, which previously launched the Chupa Chups drink in 2018, under license from Perfetti Van Melle. 

They are non-carbonated, contain little sugar and are sold in a 240ml pack. Distribution in Europe will be handled by the Dutch company Engel Foreign Food B.V.
