Mesh Helps launches “Play for Resilience” campaign
The nonprofit MESH Helps is launching a new campaign called “Play for Resilience” to mark Mental Health Awareness Month in May. The initiative aims to support children’s mental, emotional, and social well-being by promoting the role of play in building resilience.
Designed to reach families
Designed to reach families in everyday environments, the program will kick off from May 1–8 at more than 450 Chuck E. Cheese locations across the United States. Visitors can take part in activities, access educational content, and explore resources that highlight how play helps children develop essential life skills.
Throughout the rest of the month, the initiative will expand to nearly 300 libraries within the American Library Association, offering families, educators, and caregivers access to tools and MESH-accredited toys designed to strengthen social and emotional development.
Build resilience
MESH Helps focuses on helping children build resilience by strengthening key mental, emotional, and social health skills through play-based experiences. The organization works with industry partners and communities to raise awareness and provide practical resources that support children’s well-being.
According to founder Rachele Harmuth, play is a natural and effective way for children to develop resilience, making the initiative an opportunity to show families how everyday play can positively impact mental health.
