Milo expands into new audio storytelling formats
DeAPlaneta Entertainment is further expanding the reach of Milo, the internationally successful preschool series, by entering into new partnerships in the audio storytelling sector. Agreements with FABA and Tappi will introduce the popular kitten and his world to new audiences, offering children additional opportunities for play, discovery, and entertainment away from the screen.
Exclusive storytelling system
Through its exclusive storytelling system, FABA combines audio characters, education and entertainment. As part of the new partnership, young listeners will be able to enjoy new stories featuring their favorite characters while continuing to discover the world of different professions explored in Milo.
Bringing Milo’s adventures to interactive books
The partnership with Tappi will focus on bringing Milo’s adventures to interactive books. Tappi combines traditional physical books with an audio system that allows children to listen to stories, music, and games as they interact with the pages.
Imagination through listening
Gianluca Ferrara, Head of DeAPlaneta Italy and International Head of Toys, highlighted the importance of the two new partnerships. He said that FABA and Tappi will help extend the Milo universe into the growing market for screen-free audio experiences, which is particularly suited to preschool audiences. While FABA offers an audio storytelling ecosystem, Tappi combines traditional books with interactive audio, providing complementary ways for children to engage with the brand beyond the screen.
According to Sara Visentin, Chief Content Officer of FABA, the character of Milo was an immediate fit for the company’s content offering. She emphasized that bringing Milo into FABA’s screen-free audio environment will give children access to stories designed to stimulate their imagination through listening.
Interactive approach
Tappi Co-Founder Nan Wang also welcomed the collaboration, noting that Milo’s focus on discovering different professions and exploring the world around him fits well with Tappi’s interactive approach.
The agreements
The agreement with FABA covers Italy, Ticino, Spain, and the Netherlands. Tappi’s partnership will be active in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
Both agreements form part of DeAPlaneta Entertainment’s broader strategy to develop Milo as a cross-platform brand. The series’ strong international presence has also contributed to growing anticipation for its third season, which is scheduled to premiere in 2027.
DeAPlaneta Entertainment will present the new partnerships, along with further updates on Milo and other brands in its portfolio, at Milano Licensing Day on September 17, 2026.
