Molang Celebrates 10th Anniversary at HMV
Molang, the French Korean character with an animated series, will celebrate its 10th anniversary starting on Aug. 18 in the U.K. at HMV through Oct. 5. Fans will find an assortment of new Molang products, including plush, keychains, T-shirts, bags, collectables and jewelry.
“I am very excited that HMV will partner with Molang in our stores from Aug. 18 for Molang’s 10th anniversary,” says Nicolette Kelleher, pop culture buying manager, HMV. “With a strong product line-up and range of characters from suppliers like Heroes, Heathside and Aurora, there will be a product for all fans to be part of the celebrations.”
Millimages, owner of the Ambassador of Kindness (Molang’s nickname) and producer of the TV series and short films, will support this event with social media activities. Molang’s presence on social media is now reaching 3.5 million followers on TikTok and 835,000 on Instagram.
“We are thrilled to announce that a wide range of Molang products will be available in all HMV stores this summer,” says Kirsty Guthrie director, owner, KJG, licensing consultant for bRand-Ward. “Perfectly timed with school holidays, back-to-school, and university season, this launch is set to delight Molang’s biggest fans - from teens and tweens to Gen Z trendsetters.”
bRAND-WARD, with the support of Kirsty Guthrie and Maggy Harris, is the U.K. agent for Molang. In addition to licensed products displayed at HMV, product categories including apparel, accessories, giftware, books, stationery and more will hit shelves in the coming months.
