Museum of Play reveals massive expansion
The Strong, National Museum of Play in Rochester, New York plans to open the museum's state-of-the-art expansion with all-new,
interactive exhibits designed to engage guests with both the history of play and each other. The implementation of the renovation and expansion will
add terrific, modern elements to the existing 10,000 square feet of space and support the evolution toward immersive, interactive museum exhibits.
The centerpiece of the new Neighborhood of Play will be the Mseum's 90,000-square-foot expansion. Here, state-of-the-art facilities will be created for guests.
Among them and a 24,000-square-foot interactive gallery and ESL Digital Worlds. Also among the new features that will accompany the expansion
is a 17,000-square-foot outdoor Hasbro Board Game Park. The park celebrates classic tabletop games with a Candyland area, giant Monopoly figures
and a life-size fire-breathing dragon inspired by Dungeons and Dragons. Video game areas, a nostalgic indoor exhibit that explores the social impact of playing,
and many other highlights await visitors to the museum once it opens, adding a diverse and modern experience.
The reveal of the new space is scheduled to open on June 30th.
