Netflix: partnerships with Ferrero Group and Moose Toys

Netflix is expanding its consumer products business through new partnerships in the confectionery and toy sectors as the company continues to grow its kids and family entertainment portfolio.

Global collaboration

At Licensing Expo in Las Vegas, Netflix announced a global collaboration with Ferrero Group to develop a new Wonka-inspired confectionery range tied to the “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” universe. The collection will include seasonal and limited-edition products across chocolate, candy, ice cream and cereals, with launches planned for the U.S. and selected European markets later this year.

Netflix also named Moose Toys as the master toy partner for the upcoming animated film “Charlie vs. the Chocolate Factory” and the preschool series “Young MacDonald.” The partnership expands the companies’ existing relationship following their collaboration on the live-action “ONE PIECE” series.

Growing toy business

The company said its toy business has grown significantly over the past year through partnerships linked to franchises including “Stranger Things” and “KPop Demon Hunters.” Netflix is using these collaborations to extend its franchises beyond streaming and create more immersive experiences for fans through consumer products and play experiences.

In addition, Netflix highlighted several upcoming family-focused projects, including “Charlie vs. the Chocolate Factory,” “The Golden Ticket,” “Young MacDonald,” and the recently launched Netflix Playground app for children.
