New Product Lines for Yu-Gi-Oh!
Jennifer Coleman, vice president of licensing and marketing for Konami Cross Media NY Inc., announced new partnership agreements for Yu-Gi-Oh! at Licensing Expo 2023.
The company manages Yu-Gi-Oh! licensing rights outside of Asia and aims to expand and extend the brand's visibility and availability throughout Europe through new collaborations and product lines.
"We are excited to finalize these new licensing agreements that will bring a wide range of innovative, high-quality toys and gaming products to Yu-Gi-Oh! fans (...)," Coleman said.
For the first time, the company has partnered with TOMY International, which will focus on a line of plush products. TOMY International's Club Mocchi- Mocchi plush collectibles brand will launch with the MEGA Club Mocchi-Mocchi Yu-Gi-Oh! before expanding the line in 2024.
UK-based Heathside Trading will take over the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise in the toys and games division with its strong distribution network.
The initial product line for Yu-Gi-Oh! includes board games, puzzles, chairs, mega boxes and more. Heathside Trading's products will be available in Belgium, Germany, the United Kingdom, Holland, Ireland, and Italy.
Furthermore, French company Trade Invaders, which manufactures and distributes video game accessories for consoles of all generations, will develop and produce new Yu-Gi-Oh! video games and branded Switch cases, Switch controllers, Switch joysticks and PS4 controllers for the European and MENA markets.
