Odin triumphs at the As d'Or 2025 - Game of the Year

Odin, the quirky and addictive card game, has been awarded the prestigious As d'Or - Game of the Year 2025, the highest honour for games in France. The As d'Or is awarded annually at the International Games Festival in Cannes by a jury of experts and is a true honour in the world of board games.

This year, Odin, a small pocket game, was able to assert itself on the big stage and inspire players with its simple rules, exciting game mechanics and irresistible desire to play another game.

‘We are immensely proud that Odin has won the As d'Or! Odin is more than a game, it is a collective adventure made possible by the talent of the authors, illustrators and the entire team that carried it. This win is a recognition of our commitment to creating games that look good, excite and impress the mind,’ said Hadi Barkat, Director of Helvetiq.

Three talented Korean authors

Odin is the result of the creative collaboration of three talented Korean authors: Yohan Goh, Gary Ki and Hope S. Hwang, who work together under the label GAT Game Studio. The impressive illustrations, which give the game a strong and impressive world, were created by Studio Crocotame.

‘Since my first visit to Cannes in 2018, I have dreamed of one day attending the As d'Or. Today Odin is the game of the year! Thanks to Helvetiq, my co-authors and everyone who believed in us,’ adds Yohan Goh.

This win is not only a milestone for Helvetiq, but also a sign of the creative power that goes into game development. Odin will continue to excite and inspire gamers worldwide.
