Paris: Louvre retires Nintendo 3DS
After 13 years, the Nintendo 3DS mobile console has been retired at the Louvre. It has guided countless visitors through the exhibition.
Since 2012, visitors to the Louvre have also been able to view exhibits using a modern multimedia guide with an autostereoscopic screen: the Nintendo 3DS mobile console. After more than a decade, it has been retired since September 1. The remaining devices are being returned to Nintendo.
The Louvre is still working on a new audio guide; for the time being, it refers visitors to its website, which suggests three different routes through the museum.
