Petition against illegal toys: every vote counts

Non-compliant toys offered on online trading platforms from countries outside the EU are increasingly entering the European market.

Keeping up the pressure

A recent large-scale shopping exercise tested toys from those sellers - 80% of toys failed EU safety rules! This puts children at risk and undermines trust in the toy industry. The umbrella organization of European toy manufacturers (TIE) wants to keep up the pressure with the “StopIllegalToys.de” campaign to ensure that the announcements are followed by concrete measures.

Open until end of February

So far, the campaign against illegal and unsafe toys on cheap online shopping platforms has resulted in more than 800 signatures. The petition, which runs until the end of February, is open to manufacturers, retailers and other professionals from the European toy industry. If you are interested to sign, take a look at the source description.
