Piatnik: King is trump

For almost 200 years, the Viennese playing card publisher Piatnik has literally had good cards.

The assortment is versatile and covers topics such as art, culture and travel as well as majesty: With the new card set "King Charles III", fans of the British royal family can now get close to the Windsors while playing.

The "King Charles III" card deck shows the monarch in 54 pictures, as a royal representative as well as a husband and family man.

Roval fans experience King Charles not always with a serious, dignified expression, but often also laughing heartily.

The royal cards have a long tradition at the Austrian publisher Piatnik, one of the largest playing card manufacturers in the world with its own production facilities in Vienna.

Last year, there was a new edition for the Queen's Jubilee. The "Royal Babies" are also a popular Collectors' Cards title.

The 54 cards each have an individual imprint and show the most beautiful motifs from the royal family album. Ideal for collecting, giving as gifts and, of course, for playing.

Incidentally, playing cards from Piatnik also find numerous friends in the United Kingdom, including Nicky Bird, the former curator of the Victoria & Albert Museum,

now owner of the British playing card company Bird Playing Cards. The cooperation between the two playing card companies once began with a project that Bird

pushed through against the opposition of British royalty. He was not dissuaded from producing a pack of cards with cheeky, amusing caricatures of the members of

the royal family and found a partner with the same sense of humor in Piatnik. At the time, the court was "not amused" by this.
