"Prince of Persia" comeback

What began in 1989 is still cult today. However, there was nothing new from Ubisoft's "Prince of Persia" series for a long time.

This is supposed to change with the new spin-off "Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown" starting in 2024. According to the French publisher,

the new part will be a sidescroller in Metroidvania style. There is already a first trailer that shows the main character fighting his way through numerous enemies.

The prince has been kidnapped, which is why the protagonist Sargon has the mission to save him. The implementation is done in a comic graphic style.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown" is being developed by Ubisoft Montpellier, where the "Rayman" games were also made.

Experience with 2D sidescrollers should therefore still be available there.

"Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown" is scheduled to launch on January 18, 2024 for PC, Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
