Purpose Toys reveals first all-latina fashion dolls

Purpose Toys, has announced the launch of Purpose Toys Latin, a culturally focused division created with the goal of embracing and celebrating the Latino community. 

This step is in line with Purpose Toys' mission to "spotlight and celebrate cultural communities.“ 

However, this doesn't just apply to product lines. In addition to culturally defined products, they also strive to engage and empower cultural talent and leaders to tell stories 

and develop products for cultural communities. Heading Purpose Toys Latin will be Jovanna Rosado, who brings a broad range of experience from her previous roles at Mattel and Haba Toys. 

Rosado will lead the launch of "Latinistas" while overseeing the company's marketing and business management. The debut product clearly demonstrates the mission of the newly formed division. 

With "Latinistas," Purpose Toys Latin has launched the world's first and only fashion doll line just for Latinos sold at major retailers. 

The "Latinistas" are a great example of the industry-wide trend to represent limited cultural diversity and are designed to give children the opportunity to see themselves reflected in the dolls. 

Emphasis was placed on making the dolls as authentic as possible, meaning a variety of skin tones, hair and eye colors, and hair textures. 

The "Latinistas" will be on the shelves at Amazon, Target and Walmart from August 2023.
