Ravensburger to launch Guinness World Records trivia card game
Ravensburger is set to launch its first Guinness World Records-licensed game in the UK and the Republic of Ireland. The company has a longstanding partnership with the globally recognised authority on record-breaking feats, serving as the German publishing partner for the world-renowned annual book of records. The partnership has expanded to include jigsaw puzzles and will now also feature the new trivia card game. The Guinness World Records: The Ultimate Record-Breaking Card Game launches this month and challenges players to memorise the incredible facts behind some of the wackiest records from the organisation’s catalogue.
“This game is a must-have for any fan of Guinness World Records. This year marks the 70th anniversary of Guinness World Records, and it’s fantastic to play a part in those celebrations,” said Vicki Isitt, Games product manager at Ravensburger.
The new card game features 56 cards with facts and images showcasing remarkable and unusual record-breaking acts from around the world, from the longest fingernails to the most basketball dunks by a rabbit and many more. Players work in a team to take in the information and pictures before being asked a series of questions about them in a bid to achieve a ‘record-breaking’ status of their own. Suitable from seven years to adult and for up to six participants, the game includes suggested variations to ensure a level playing field when playing with younger players. With around 20 minutes playing time and a quick to learn format, the game will make a great addition to family games night.
