Redibra brings Avatar World Licensing Programme to Brazil

Licensing agency Redibra has added Avatar World to its portfolio and will develop the brand’s licensing programme in Brazil.

The mobile game, developed by Pazu Games, has recorded more than 300 million downloads and 42 million monthly active players worldwide. In Brazil, it attracts 6.9 million active players each month and reaches three out of every four girls aged four to 10, a demographic representing 9.3 million people in the country.

In Avatar World, players can create characters, design homes, explore worlds and tell their own stories. The game also introduces new worlds, characters and customisation items every week.

David Diesendruck, CEO of Redibra, said the property represents a new generation of intellectual properties originating in digital environments and built around active communities. He added that games are increasingly functioning not only as entertainment but also as lifestyle and consumption platforms.

Through the partnership, Redibra aims to connect Brazil’s licensing industry with a digital property that has significant reach among young audiences.
