Restructuring at Schleich for greater stability and success
Schleich GmbH is currently undergoing a restructuring process to ensure greater stability and success in the future. The shareholders, management, and other key stakeholders are working constructively on this process. The aim of this restructuring is to ensure that Schleich is in the best possible financial and operational shape to continue growing now and in the future. In recent weeks, a comprehensive transformation plan has been developed in close consultation with shareholders and lenders, which is now being implemented.
Newleadership
As part of this process, the company has decided to renew its leadership. The CEO, Stefan De Loecker, has decided to leave the group (with immediate effect) to pursue other interests.
The new CEO of Schleich (effective immediately) will be Dr. Manfred Ziegler. The experienced manager brings extensive knowledge of the consumer goods industry and many years of experience in repositioning and restructuring companies.
Optimizing operations
Dr. Ziegler sees it as his primary task to work with lenders and shareholders to optimize operations, improve customer service, and strengthen the company's cost base—ensuring that Schleich is resilient and strategically well-positioned to meet global challenges.
The Schleich brand and company enjoy an excellent position in both the national and international toy markets. For Dr. Ziegler, the uniqueness of the product portfolio and the sustainable brand values form the basis on which the transformation will be built, with the focus now on consistent implementation and strengthening Schleich's position in the market.
