SEGA and iam8bit launch Sonic art exhibition and fan art showcase

SEGA and iam8bit are celebrating 35 years of Sonic the Hedgehog with 35 Years of Speed: The Sonic Art Exhibit, a special exhibition showcasing the franchise’s history through artwork from professional artists, fan submissions and SEGA’s archives.

The exhibition will feature newly imagined pieces from more than 30 renowned and emerging artists, highlighting iconic moments, characters, worlds and memories from across the Sonic universe. The gallery will also include a fan art showcase, inviting artists around the world to reinterpret meaningful moments from Sonic’s history.

Selected fan artworks will be featured in a curated “best of” visual showcase on SEGA’s official website and social media channels, with selected pieces also appearing at the art exhibitions in Seattle and Los Angeles.

The 35 Years of Speed: The Sonic Art Exhibit will take place during the PAX West weekend in Seattle from 4–6 September 2026, followed by a Los Angeles exhibition from 26–27 September 2026.
