Sesame Street: Friends & Fun Announced for PC and Consoles in 2026

Outright Games has announced Sesame Street: Friends & Fun, a new 3D narrative adventure game based on the popular children's television series Sesame Street. The title is scheduled to launch on October 9, 2026, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Story-driven adventure

Designed for preschool-aged players, the game offers a story-driven adventure that can be played solo or in local two-player co-op. Players take on the role of a new resident of Sesame Street and help prepare for a community celebration alongside familiar characters including Elmo, Grover, Bert, and Ernie.

Inspired by the television series

The game features character customization, home personalization, exploration, mini-games, and interactive activities inspired by locations from the television series. Educational elements, including early mathematics concepts, are integrated into gameplay through light challenges and tasks.

Provide a welcoming and accessible introduction

According to Outright Games, the experience is designed to provide a welcoming and accessible introduction to video games for young children, with intuitive controls, positive reinforcement, and a focus on exploration rather than pressure or competition.

The announcement also highlights Sesame Street’s long history in interactive entertainment, dating back to 1981, and notes the franchise’s global reach across more than 190 countries and 30 languages.
