Sesame Workshop appoints new Chief People Officer

Sesame Workshop has named Chastity Davis-Garcia its new Chief People Officer. She will lead the organization’s people strategy in support of its mission to help children everywhere grow smarter, stronger, and kinder. Davis-Garcia will report to President and CEO Sherrie Westin.

Seasoned people leader

“Chastity is a seasoned people leader, organizational builder, and executive coach with a proven track record in guiding mission-driven and high-growth organizations through periods of significant scale, complexity, and change,” said Westin. “As Sesame Workshop continues to evolve as a global organization, Chastity’s deep expertise will bring tremendous value at a time when our mission is needed more than ever.”

Strengthen leadership capability

Davis-Garcia brings experience across talent strategy, organizational design, leadership development, and change management—anchored in the belief that people strategy and enterprise strategy are fundamentally inseparable. In her role as Chief People Officer, she will partner closely with senior leaders and teams across the organization to strengthen leadership capability, build scalable people systems, and support a culture where mission, performance and care for people are mutually reinforcing.
