Sesame Workshop & Dicapta: improved content for children with disabilities

In partnership with Dicapta and with funding from the U.S. Department of Education (DOE), Spanish-language versions of fan favorites Sesame Street and Cookie Monster's Foodie Truck will now be made available with descriptive audio and subtitles.

Several series will be available on YouTube

Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit educational organization behind the Sesame series, will also make available Plaza Sesamo, Listos a Jugar, Pequenas Aventureras, Monstruos en Red, Elmo and Tango's Mysterious Mysteries, and The Furchester Hotel, all available on Plaza Sesamo's YouTube channel.

Further implementations are planned

Also being implemented in collaboration with Dicapta is the creation of descriptive audio and ASL versions of "The Feelings Garden," "Me & My Grown-Up," and "I Notice, I Feel, I Can" featuring Sesame Street's beloved Muppets. The videos, which can be seen on Sesame Workshop's YouTube channel, are part of the organization's response to the growing crisis in young children's mental health and feature emotional well-being content for families. Future content on topics such as school readiness, financial literacy, and career development are planned by Sesame Workshop in descriptive audio and ASL.
