Six-year-old solves Rubik’s Cube in 4.27 seconds
Six-year-old speedcuber Lian Yunzhi from Chengdu, China, has broken the women’s world record for the average time to solve a 3×3 Rubik’s Cube twice within three days.
At an official competition in Wuhan, Lian recorded an average of 4.52 seconds across five solves. Two days later, she improved the record to 4.27 seconds at a competition in Guangzhou.
Lian, who began competing officially in 2025, has learned more than 1,300 solving algorithms and trains for two to three hours a day.
