Sonic Prime Goes Global: WildBrain and Paramount Expand Series on Nickelodeon Worldwide

WildBrain, a global leader in kids’ and family entertainment, has announced an expanded partnership with Paramount to bring the hit animated series Sonic Prime to even more territories via Nickelodeon. Starting July 21, 2025, fans across APAC (including New Zealand, Pacific Islands, Southeast Asia, and the Philippines), EMEA (such as Scandinavia, Spain, France, Israel, Turkey, Central and Eastern Europe, Baltics, Russia, Benelux, Greece, and Sub-Saharan Africa), and Latin America (Brazil, Mexico, Central and South America) will be able to enjoy Sonic Prime on Nickelodeon.

The new agreement extends Paramount’s rights to 22 half-hour episodes and a one-hour special, adding to previously covered regions like the U.S., Australia, Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the U.K., and Ireland. The first 16 episodes will roll out daily in the new territories, with more to follow.

Sonic Prime, co-produced by SEGA and WildBrain, follows Sonic the Hedgehog on universe-shattering adventures as he races to restore reality and save his friends. The series is animated at WildBrain’s Vancouver studio and distributed globally by WildBrain.

This strategic move highlights the enduring popularity of Sonic and strengthens Nickelodeon’s position as a leading kids’ entertainment brand worldwide.
