Spirit Halloween Expands to 1,500+ Stores, Showcases Cutting-Edge Animatronics for 2025

Spirit Halloween is set to open more than 1,500 stores across North America this season, matching last year’s record and reinforcing its position as the leading Halloween retailer. For 2025, the brand is elevating its in-store experience with a new immersive theme: "Madison Scare Park," a haunted subway platform brought to life through interactive design and eerie details.

At the heart of this year’s offering is Spirit Halloween’s advanced animatronics collection. Highlights include the dual 180-degree rotational motors of "Twisted Grandma," the innovative candy dispenser "Trick or Treat Pete," and the motion-tracking "Jack the Reaper." These animatronics set a new standard for retail entertainment, blending technology and fright to engage shoppers of all ages.

Beyond animatronics, stores will feature exclusive costumes from popular franchises like Squid Game, Marvel, and Wicked, alongside expanded décor collections for bathrooms, kitchens, and walls. Spirit Halloween’s CEO, Steven Silverstein, emphasizes the brand’s role as an entertainment destination, bringing the spirit of the season to life for millions of guests.

The retailer is also hiring approximately 50,000 seasonal employees to support its expanded footprint. Spirit Halloween’s strategy of transforming vacant spaces into profitable pop-up locations continues to drive growth and innovation in the festive retail sector.
