Steiff announces retirement of Jim Pitocco

Steiff has announced the retirement of its president of Steiff North America, effective December 31, 2023. However, Jim Pitocco will continue to accompany the organization by stepping into the Management Board of Steiff North America, where he will support the further development of the company as needed.

“During the last two decades, there have been many successes, challenges, and changes at Steiff North America,” said Pitocco. “The repositioning of Steiff from a collectible brand to a plush-based business in the North American market creates the strongest foundation for future success.”

Succession is already determined

Pitocco's successor will be Felix Oeding-Erdel. During the last 2.5 years, Oeding-Erdel was responsible for financial, strategic and marketing initiatives as Chief Financial Officer of a biotech company with over 50 employees.
