Survey: Majority of New Zealanders Support Social Media Ban for Children
A recent survey in New Zealand reveals that more than half of the population supports a social media ban for children under 16. While politicians remain divided, societal pressure is mounting to better protect children from the risks of social media. For the toy industry and retailers of children’s products, this is a key trend: parents are increasingly seeking safe, analog alternatives and educational products. Manufacturers and retailers can score points with suitable offerings and strengthen trust with their target audience.
