Teletubbies expand global activations and licensing partnerships ahead of 30th anniversary
As WildBrain builds towards the Teletubbies’ 30th anniversary in 2027, the franchise is expanding its consumer products and experiential activations across global markets.
First pop-up experience
In Taiwan, Pu Tai has launched the territory’s first Teletubbies pop-up experience at Taipei’s Q Square, featuring immersive photo opportunities, character appearances and exclusive merchandise. The activation follows recent initiatives across Asia Pacific, including events in Korea and the launch of the WildBrain Garden retail destination in China.
Expanding its licensing programme
The franchise is also expanding its licensing programme across fashion, accessories, toys, collectibles, beauty, food and beverage and lifestyle products. In the U.S. and Canada, Bull Airs will launch limited-edition apparel, accessories and footwear collections, while Overlord Caps and Whatever! Makes You Happy will introduce headwear and lifestyle products. Further collaborations are underway in Europe and China.
New stylised plush and figurines
In toys and collectibles, Character Options is expanding its Teletubbies range with new stylised plush and figurines across Pan-Europe. Kids Preferred will launch new infant plush in the U.S. and Canada, while McFarlane Toys’ QMx brand will introduce collectible figurines in 2027. The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum is also developing a line of collectible bobbleheads.
K-beauty programme
Additional partnerships include a K-beauty programme in Malaysia, pet accessories in Korea, a promotional partnership with SMUCKER’S in South Korea, lifestyle tech products in Taiwan and new global products from MINISO. In China, hot pot chain Haidilao will launch a Teletubbies collaboration in October 2026.
The new partnerships and activations form part of WildBrain’s preparations for the franchise’s 30th anniversary in 2027.
