THE GUNDAM BASE expands across North America
Bandai Namco Amusement America and Bandai Namco Toys & Collectibles America have announced the expansion of THE GUNDAM BASE in the United States with two new permanent locations opening in Fall 2026.
First permanent store
Following the successful launch of THE GUNDAM BASE Chicago, the first permanent GUNDAM BASE store in North America, new stores will open at the Mall of America in Minneapolis and the Westfield Southcenter in Seattle.
THE GUNDAM BASE offers fans of the Mobile Suit Gundam franchise and GUNPLA model kits an immersive retail experience featuring a wide selection of model kits, exclusive merchandise, premium displays, and special products celebrating more than 45 years of Gundam history.
Driving the expansion
According to the announcement, the strong response to the Chicago location since its opening in 2025 helped drive the expansion into additional U.S. markets. Visitors to the new stores can expect a broad range of GUNPLA products for all skill levels, exclusive and limited‑edition merchandise, life‑sized displays, community events, and support from knowledgeable staff.
