The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom" fastest-selling Nintendo game ever in the Americas  

Three days after its release on May 12, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has sold 10 million copies worldwide. 

This makes the game the fastest-selling Legend of Zelda game and the fastest-selling Nintendo game ever in the Americas.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is a direct sequel to 2017's The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. 

Over the past 35 years, The Legend of Zelda series has sold more than 130 million units. 

According to Devon Pritchard, Nintendo of America's executive vice president of sales, marketing, and communications, the strong sales are an indicator of the continued strong momentum for both the franchise and Nintendo Switch this year.
