The Toy Association announces leadership promotions
The Toy Association has promoted Charlotte Hickcox to Senior Director of State Government Affairs and Erin Wright to Senior Manager of Communications & Engagement for The Toy Foundation, with both appointments taking effect immediately.
Expanded leadership responsibilities
Hickcox, who joined The Toy Association in 2022 as Director of State Government Affairs, will take on expanded leadership responsibilities across the organization’s state government affairs division. In her new role, she will continue overseeing advocacy efforts in the Eastern states while leading a coordinated 50-state advocacy strategy and managing all state lobbyists.
Before joining The Toy Association, Hickcox held government affairs and public policy positions with the Ohio Chamber of Commerce, the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency, Sprint, the Ohio House of Representatives and several public affairs consulting firms.
Strategic storytelling and communications campaigns
Wright, who serves within The Toy Foundation, has been promoted after contributing to the organization’s communications and stakeholder engagement efforts. Since joining the Foundation as manager, she has supported awareness of its mission and programs through strategic storytelling and communications campaigns highlighting its work to bring the benefits of play to children.
Prior to joining The Toy Foundation, Wright spent more than a decade leading communications strategies for consumer brands at 360PR+, APCO Worldwide, Ketchum and Hunter Public Relations.
