TIE presents Play for Change Awards
At the fourth edition of the Play for Change Awards by Toy Industries of Europe, or TIE for short, Mattel, Inc. landed on the top step of the podium with "Bruno The Break Car" in the "Diversity & Inclusion" category, while the Lego Group was able to accept two Silver Awards at once, in the "Sustainability" categories for a new environmentally friendly packaging and in "Life Skills" for a program by First & Lego Education that teaches STEM to children aged four to 16.
Surprising newcomer
Newcomer Korko, a CO2 neutral product line and brand of Toynamics Europe, caused a surprise with the "Korko Bowling Set". Toynamics had only introduced Korko to the German market in 2022. The toys are made entirely from cork, which is fully renewable, biodegradable and recyclable. The reward for Toynamics' efforts: 3rd place in "Sustainability".
