TIE welcomes newly elected Chair Frédéric Lehmann

Toy Industries of Europe (TIE) has announced a leadership transition with the election of Frédéric Lehmann, Senior Vice President and General Manager Western Europe at the LEGO Group, as its new Chair. He succeeds Sanjay Luthra, who is now Chief Commercial Officer at Mattel and steps down after seven years leading the association.

TIE thanked Luthra for his leadership during a period marked by significant challenges for the toy industry, including the global pandemic and a rapidly evolving regulatory and market environment. During his tenure, he helped strengthen the industry's collective voice in Europe and supported initiatives such as the Play for Change Awards.

Lehmann brings extensive international experience gained across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. TIE highlighted his industry expertise and his belief in the positive role of play in children’s lives.

With Lehmann’s appointment, TIE enters a new chapter of representation for the European toy industry, building on his international perspective, leadership experience, and knowledge of the sector.
